Magnetometric Investigations of Biomagnetic Signals: Magnetocardiography

چکیده
Introduction. Superconducting magnetometers based on SQUIDs (SQUID- QUantum Interference Device) are currently used to register weak magnetic fields generated in various human organs and measured outside the body (in environment). The creation of information technology, which is a set methods software tools combined into technological chain that ensures registration, storage, pre-processing, analysis measurement data automatic diagnostic output, an essential science-intensive component determines possibilities success applied use non-contact systems heart purpose. Article presents new algorithms for spatial cardiomagnetic signal results. inverse problem solution, when field source matched distribution parameters configuration determined. A model was form system current density vectors, distributed plane parallel crosses volume heart. Results. solved using apparatus two-dimensional integral Fourier transformations. transformation algorithm allows correctly take account design flux transformer (the dimensions pickup coils, their location electrical connection scheme). Algorithm modifications have been developed most known (implemented existing magnetocardiographs) designs transformers first second order gradientometers. operation modeled real magnetometric investigations Investigations shown application proposed obtaining about heart, can be future diagnosis diseases. Nonlinear analysis of biomagnetic signals recorded from uterine myomas
OBJECTIVE To determine if there is any non-linearity in the biomagnetic recordings of uterine myomas and to find any differences that may be present in the mechanisms underlying their signal dynamics. METHODS Twenty-four women were included in the study. Sixteen of them were characterised with large myomas and 8 with small ones. Uterine artery waveform measurements were evaluated by use of Pu...
متن کاملBiomagnetic methodologies for the noninvasive investigations of the human brain (MAGNOBRAIN).
Magnetoencephalography (MEG) non-invasively infers the distribution of electric currents in the brain by measuring the magnetic fields they induce. Its superb spatial and temporal resolution provides a solid basis for the 'functional imaging' of the brain provided it is integrated with other brain imaging techniques. MAGNOBRAIN is an applied research project that developed tools to integrate ME...
متن کاملBiomagnetic research in gastroenterology
Humans rely on their gastrointestinal system for providing the body with a constant supply of nutrients, water and electrolytes. The food must be digested (reduced physically and chemically to a molecular level) to be absorbed in the small intestine. Since both digestion and absorption depend on diffusion the flow of nutrients along the small intestine (GI transit) must be compatible with the r...
متن کاملMultichannel Squid Biomagnetic Systems
The field of biomagnetism advanced considerably since the first recordings of magnetic fields of the human heart in 1963 and of the human brain in 1968. Since the introduction of whole-cortex magnetoencephalography (MEG) systems in 1992, the number of installed channels has dramatically increased, and the magnetic evaluation of the human brain has been gradually finding its place in clinical wo...
